The short version: your content stays yours, don't use LinkPortal for anything illegal or deceptive, usernames can't impersonate other people, and sales made through your links are between you and your visitors. Be decent and we'll get along fine.
01The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and LinkPortal, covering linkportal.app, the editor at editor.linkportal.app, and every page published through the service. By creating an account or using LinkPortal you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
02Your account
You need an account to publish a page; sign-in is handled by Clerk. Keep access to your account to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you use LinkPortal for a business or a client — for example, as an agency — you confirm you're authorised to act for them.
03Usernames
Your page lives at linkportal.app/username. Usernames are first come, first served, with two caveats:
- Some names are reserved for the service and can't be registered.
- A username that infringes a trademark, impersonates a person or brand, or exists only to be squatted on can be reclaimed or reassigned by us.
04Your content
What you publish is yours. You grant us the licence we need to operate the service — to host, store, display and distribute your content on your page, in your previews and in the editor, including on a custom domain you connect. That licence exists solely to run LinkPortal and ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from short-lived backups. You're responsible for having the rights to everything you upload — photos, logos, fonts, menus and product images included.
05Acceptable use
Don't use LinkPortal to:
- break the law, or promote illegal goods or activity;
- deceive people — phishing, scams, malware, impersonation or misleading links;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights;
- harass or threaten people, or incite hatred against them;
- publish content that exploits or endangers minors;
- disrupt the service — probing, large-scale scraping, evading rate limits, or interfering with other accounts.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that cross these lines, and where the law requires it, we'll report it.
06Menus, shops and other commerce
LinkPortal lets you display menus, products, and ordering or payment links. We're the display layer: any sale, order or donation happens directly between you and your visitor on whatever external service your links point to. You're responsible for what you offer — pricing, delivery, refunds and taxes included. LinkPortal is not a party to those transactions and doesn't handle the money.
07Paid plans
Some features may require a paid plan. Prices are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. If prices change, existing subscribers get notice before their next renewal. If a free trial is offered, you won't be charged before it ends.
08Custom domains
You can connect a domain you own to your page. You manage its DNS, and you confirm the domain is yours to use and doesn't infringe anyone's rights. Disconnecting the domain — or closing your account — stops LinkPortal serving it.
09Analytics
Creator dashboards show views, clicks, locations, devices and referrers as measured by our systems. Ad blockers, bots and caching all affect counts, so numbers can differ from other tools. Analytics are provided as-is, without a guarantee of completeness.
10LinkPortal's stuff
The service itself — the software, design, themes, name and logo — belongs to us and our licensors, and these terms don't transfer any of it to you. Feedback is welcome, and we may use it without owing you anything.
11Ending things
You can stop using LinkPortal and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, put the service or other users at risk, or that we're legally required to act on — where reasonable, we'll warn you first. When an account closes, its pages go offline and its content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12No warranties, limited liability
LinkPortal is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we're not responsible for the pages creators publish or for the third-party sites links lead to.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it — or US $50 if you haven't paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you'll cover the resulting costs and damages.
13Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use LinkPortal after that means you accept them. Questions: support@linkportal.app.
