The short version: we collect what's needed to run your page — your account details, the content you add, and simple stats about who visits. We don't sell your data and we don't run ad trackers. Delete your account and your content goes with it.
01Who we are
LinkPortal is a link-in-bio page builder. This policy covers our websites at linkportal.app, the editor at editor.linkportal.app, and every page published through the service — whether it lives at linkportal.app/yourname or on a custom domain a creator has connected. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
02What you give us
- Account details. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Depending on how you sign up, we receive your name, email address and profile picture.
- Page content. Everything you add in the editor: links, text, photos, logos, fonts, menus, products, social handles, map locations and design choices. Published pages are public by design — that's their point.
- Billing details. If you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages. If you contact support, we keep the conversation so we can actually help.
03What we collect automatically
When someone visits a LinkPortal page, our servers record standard technical data: pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (country and city, derived from the IP address), device type, browser, and the site that referred them. Our server logs include IP addresses; we use them to keep the service running, enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
04Visitors and creators
If you visit a creator's page, the statistics we record about that visit are shown to the creator only in aggregate — they see counts, countries, cities, devices and referrers, never your name or identity. If you're a creator, the same applies to your visitors: analytics exist so you can understand your audience, not identify individuals.
05How we use information
- To provide the service: host your page, publish your edits, serve your images and fonts.
- To show creators analytics about their own pages.
- To keep the platform safe: abuse and spam prevention, rate limiting, debugging.
- To communicate with you about your account and important changes.
- To improve LinkPortal — based on aggregate usage, not by reading your content.
We do not sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertising networks.
06Who helps us run it
LinkPortal runs on infrastructure operated by companies that process data on our behalf:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Replit — application hosting and database.
- Cloudflare — networking, DNS and custom-domain routing.
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
- Google Fonts — font delivery on published pages.
- OpenFreeMap — map tiles, when a page includes a map.
These providers may process data in the United States and the European Union, and we share only what they need to do their job. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
07Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (set by Clerk) and your browser's local storage to remember editor state, such as preferences and work in progress. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers — which is why you won't find a cookie banner here.
08How long we keep it
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account — or ask us to — your profile, pages and uploads are removed from the live service, and residual copies in backups and logs expire on a rolling basis. Aggregated statistics that identify no one may be retained.
09Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict some processing. You can edit or delete your content and your account from the editor at any time; for anything else, email us and we'll sort it out. If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
10Children
LinkPortal is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
11Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and we never store your password — authentication is handled by Clerk. No online service can promise perfect security, but if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you.
12Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as LinkPortal evolves. Small changes are posted here with a new effective date; if a change meaningfully affects your rights, we'll flag it in the app or by email first.
